Canon EMEA appoints head of HR
Canon EMEA has appointed Debbie Brown as its head of human resources, and she will lead Canon’s people and organisation strategy across the EMEA region. Debbie brings more than 25 years of HR experience within the business, having held a wide range of roles in national sales organisations and headquarters environments. Most recently, as EMEA HR director for the Developing Regions Business Group, Debbie was instrumental in leading initiatives to support sales growth and expansion while enhancing employee experience and engagement in developing regions. Debbie’s appointment follows the retirement of Caroline Price after a 29- year tenure with the company, most recently as head of HR for the region.
“I’m delighted to be taking on this role at such a pivotal time of external change and how this impacts business performance,” said Debbie. “Collaboration is essential, and I firmly believe that our people are our greatest asset. My focus is on developing the skills and capabilities needed for a modern, agile organisation, while evolving our strong culture to support high performance, drive productivity and efficiencies, and ensure our employees remain at the heart of our success.” Sam Yoshida, president & CEO, Canon EMEA, added: “Debbie’s extensive experience across our business, and her recent success in driving organisational growth in key developing markets, make her the ideal leader to guide our people strategy forward. We are pleased to welcome her to the executive leadership team.” n
