Epson achieves No. 1 market share for inkjet printers

Epson has taken the number one market position for volume of inkjet printers globally, a position previously held by HP, according to IDC worldwide figures for Q3 in 2025. “This is a significant achievement for us and one we’re very proud to have secured,” says Karl Angove, vice president for home and office print, Epson Europe. “This landmark success is the result of a continuous focus on product quality and customer value, creative marketing and external communications, and the strong relationships and partnerships we have developed within our teams and with our with channel and retail partners.”

Epson remains worldwide number one in ink tank printers by both units and value, since creating the category over 15 years ago. This new positioning for all inkjet volume is testament to its Heat-Free technology gaining increased traction within business and public sector environments. “I’m personally delighted with this success,” added Karl. “It’s a great way for us to start the New Year and positions us well to support further growth initiatives for inkjet printing during 2026.” Source: IDC, Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker, Q3 2025 shipments, published Q4 2025 n
