production efficiency. The Inspection Unit-C1 adds advanced capabilities to the imagePRESS V series, including barcode reading, data matching and text recognition to address a wide range of printing requirements. It ensures reliable variable printing, even for information impossible to inspect visually. Equipped with intelligent functions that reference the actual content of printed materials, the system supports a range of variable printing applications. For jobs containing data such as barcodes that cannot be visually
verified, the module automatically reads and validates each code against pre- registered CSV data. In double-sided applications, it can also read text in specified areas on both sides and confirm accuracy, helping to prevent layout- related misprints. Additionally, the Inspection Unit-C1 supports colour fluctuation inspection at designated points within the print data. The system automatically detects colour variations during production and initiates purge and recovery operations as needed. n
