POS systems

Point of Sale (POS) systems – made up of hardware and software used to complete transactions – remain essential in retail, hospitality and other service- based industries. As businesses modernise operations, demand for reliable and integrated POS solutions continues to hold steady across sectors.

The category saw a 3.6% year-on-year search growth from 2024, even as average guide trade prices dropped by 10%. This suggests strong underlying demand, with vendors potentially shifting strategies to drive volume in a price-sensitive market. Despite the price pressure, overall market momentum remains positive.

Stock levels in authorised distribution have increased compared to the same quarter last year, but there's been a gradual decline in inventory over the past quarter. Prices are largely concentrated around £1,190, though there’s a slight right-skew – indicating a smaller market for premium, high-end systems still holding value. n
