Konica Minolta and Ethos enable direct mail on-demand
Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd and workplace technology services provider Ethos have equipped Basingstoke-based direct mail specialist Document Despatch with the latest AccurioPress C14000e digital production press. This solution enhances product personalisation by leveraging variable data processing for mail merges and supports a range of paper weights, including envelopes. Replacing an existing black-and-white press and a litho press, the AccurioPress C14000e gives Document Despatch the flexibility to produce direct mail print on-demand.
Malcolm Baker, sales director at Document Despatch, said: “The AccurioPress C14000e offers simple operation, superb finish, full-colour calibration, and the ability to produce postcards at 10 times the speed of our previous solution. Within the first 10 days, we produced over 240,000 multi-merged statement packs for our customers. By enabling us to fully embrace a ‘just in time’ working model with zero waste and no ‘overs’ or ‘unders’ … eliminating outsourcing delays, all of which improve customer satisfaction whilst reducing our own overheads and hidden costs.” n

TSC Auto ID printer receives award
TSC Auto ID’s MB241 Series linerless printer has won a Red Dot Design Award: Product Design 2025 in the Industrial Equipment, Machinery, and Automation category. “We are thrilled the MB241 Series linerless printer has been singled out by one of the world’s most prestigious industrial design award programs,” says Michelle Hu, director of product management at TSC Auto ID. “From the start, our vision for the MB241 series linerless was to innovate an industrial printer that enables organisations to be more productive and environmentally
responsible.” The MB241 Series is one of just a few linerless printers built for industrial use, it supports variable label lengths on one paper roll, accommodates 60% more labels per 8-inch OD roll than traditional printers, and enables more efficient operations, free from liner-peeling and disposal. The MB241 Series linerless printers address adhesive residue buildup with a design that reduces contact points, enables easy print alignment adjustment, and includes safety features for quick, safe cleaning. n
