TD SYNNEX appoints new CEO

TD SYNNEX has announced that Patrick Zammit will become chief executive officer from September 1, succeeding Rich Hume, who will retire but remain on the TD SYNNEX board of directors. "It has been the greatest privilege of my professional career to serve as CEO of TD SYNNEX,” said Rich. “I am proud of the culture we have built, our partner-first focus and commitment to customer excellence, and the purpose-driven approach we have taken in our business. In this dynamic and ever- changing technology landscape, Patrick is the right leader to build on this foundation as we continue to deliver value to our customers and vendors across the ecosystem. Under his leadership, I am confident that TD SYNNEX will reach even greater heights." Patrick, who has served as the company's chief operating officer since January, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence. He has been instrumental in coordinating the company's business strategy,

driving profitable growth and accelerating the adoption of new, high-growth technologies around the globe. He led the European region beginning in 2017, following Tech Data’s acquisition of Avnet Technology Solutions. His role expanded in 2021 to include responsibilities for the APJ region. His tenure at Avnet, which began in 1993, saw him in various management roles, culminating as Global President of the Technology Solutions division, where he served on its executive board. His earlier roles at Avnet included President of EMEA Electronic Marketing and European CFO. "I am honored to succeed Rich and lead TD SYNNEX into its next chapter,” said Patrick. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation we have established and driving forward our strategy and digitisation roadmap to ensure we are constantly delivering the greatest value to our co-workers, partners, vendors and shareholders. Rich has been an outstanding leader and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his role on our board of directors.”

Exertis launches Peppy Healthcare for its colleagues

Exertis has announced membership to Peppy Healthcare for all its colleagues and a partner (or chosen ‘plus one’) per person. Peppy is an app with a wealth of bespoke services and support, no matter what an individual’s healthcare background or requirement. Personalised support given by experts is tailored to each user’s needs wherever they are in their healthcare journey. All Exertis colleagues have access to qualified human practitioners for one-to-one chats, virtual consultations, events, courses, blogs, articles and moderated group chats on a wide range of healthcare topics. “Providing access to a confidential app tailored specifically to our people’s healthcare needs brings us a huge amount of pride,” said Jo Lawrence, people and marketing director at Exertis. “Supporting our people is of paramount importance to us at Exertis and we recognise

the varying needs and requirements which each of our colleagues face. “So far, our people have read over 800 articles about health issues, exchanged nearly 2,000 messages with healthcare professionals, and we’re pleased to be contacting our people who are currently on parental leave to inform them of the benefits of Peppy, enabling them to access valuable resources whilst in the new stages of parenthood.” Mental health continues to be a focal point for Exertis and its colleagues, and fundraising has recently begun for eight new charity partners after last year’s success of raising £125,000 for Mental Health UK. The distributor trains internal Mental Health First Aiders to support colleagues whenever they require assistance and provides mental health information and guidance throughout the year.
