EAGLE EYE – BI

Looking back

As 2024 draws to a close, it’s good to look back on the year’s progress. Stock in the Channel’s B2B analysts have explored diverse categories in the print and scan industry, from handheld scanners to instant print cameras. In this issue, the market intelligence team agglomerate all the data from the categories that featured in Print in the Channels ’ Eagle Eye this year to identify the cream of the crop.

The range of the categories they have explored is evident in the guide trade price distribution graph, showing how many SKUs exist at a specific price point. In most categories a long right tail is observed, but each segment has its own median around which the most popular price points can be seen. For this very specific subset of the market, a 6% growth in stock held in distribution was achieved, with guide trade prices remaining mostly stable in 2024. It should be no surprise that the Zebra TC21 is the top trending Eagle Eye BI product in 2024, it deservedly took the crown home for Handheld & Data Capture Device Product of the Year at Stockies ’24. It further excelled in implied sales market share as monitored by Stock in the Channel – if this sparks an interest in you then the team would love to collaborate with you! Although the year is drawing to a close, Stock in the Channel’s data engines will keep scanning the market to keep ahead of the curve. See you on these pages in 2025, where Eagle Eye will no doubt laminate some good memories together.
